The company’s roots date back to 1997 when one of the founders began his first second-hand clothing company in Houston, TX. With a focus on attention to customer needs and delivery of a superior product, the company grew into 4 large operations that employed over 450 people.

Our story began in 1997, when one of our founders launched his first used clothing business in Houston, Texas. With a focus on customer satisfaction and product quality, the operation quickly grew to four large facilities and over 450 employees.
Today, Green Gold Recycling continues that legacy as the first of our companies to expand outside the United States. Since 2025, we proudly operate internationally, employing over 170 people and giving a second life to over millions of pounds of clothing each year—clothing that would otherwise end up in landfills.
